Greenhouse layout
The planter boxes are installed on one side of the greenhouse.
The other side is left open for you to use as you like. You could add:
- a table for seedlings
- pot plants
- sensitive plants that need protection
- gardening tools
- extra shelves
- a small potting area
Best installation surface
- This greenhouse can be installed on bare ground or on paving.
- The installation area must be flat, level and accessible before installation.
Warranty and lifespan
- The greenhouse plastic has a typical lifespan of more than 5 years, depending on weather exposure and care.
- The greenhouse plastic includes a 1-year warranty against hail damage, subject to our Terms and Conditions.
- The planter frames have a typical lifespan of 2 years, after which they will need maintenance
Repairs and replacement
We can assist with repairs to accidental punctures, storm damage, or replacing the greenhouse plastic when needed.
With the structure installed, the soil prepared, the seedlings planted, and ongoing support from our gardening community, you do not have to figure it all out alone. Just add water, care for your plants, and enjoy watching your own home greenhouse come to life.
Complete Greenhouse Installed
The greenhouse plastic includes a 1-year warranty against hail damage, subject to the customer correctly using the supplied shade net as an added protective layer.
To qualify for this warranty, the shade net must be:
- installed over the greenhouse plastic from 1 September each year; and
- kept in place during the summer hail season; and
- It may only be removed after 1 May each year.
The shade net is provided as additional protection against hail impact and to help prolong the lifespan of the greenhouse plastic. Failure to apply and maintain the shade net during this period may void the hail damage warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental punctures, deliberate damage, extreme weather events beyond normal hail conditions, poor maintenance, or alterations made to the greenhouse structure or covering without The Compost Kitchen’s approval.
