At The Compost Kitchen, we aim to ensure complete satisfaction for all our customers. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns and refunds are processed for purchases made through our e-commerce store.

2. Return Conditions

  • Product Condition: Items must be in their original, unused condition, and in their original packaging for a return.

  • Return Period: Returns are accepted within 7 days of the delivery date.

  • Return Process: To initiate a return, please contact us at info@compostkitchen.com for instructions.

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns.

 

3. Refund Eligibility

  • Damaged or Defective Items: If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately for a replacement or refund upon inspection.

  • Incorrect Item: If you receive an incorrect item, inform us within 7 days for a replacement or refund.

  • Change of Mind: Returns due to a change of mind are subject to a 5% restocking fee, provided the item is in its original condition.

 

4. Non-Refundable Items

Certain items are not eligible for a refund:

  • Custom-made or personalized items

  • Downloadable software products

  • Some health and personal care items

  • Bulk Compost: Due to the nature of bulk compost, it cannot be refunded as customers are given the opportunity to inspect the compost before offloading.

 

5. Shipping Costs

  • Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, which are non-refundable.

  • Shipping Cost Refund: If the return is due to our error (e.g., defective or incorrect item), we will cover the return shipping costs.

 

6. Processing Refunds

We will notify you once your return is received and inspected. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within a set number of days.

 

7. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, check your bank account again, then contact your credit card company or bank as there might be a delay before your refund is posted.

 

8. Legal Compliance

This policy is crafted in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa and other applicable laws.
